2x Emmy Award Winning Television Producer, Director, Showrunner, Journalist
Erin Horan is a seasoned, two-time national Emmy-award winning producer, who has worked at the highest levels of network television for 60 Minutes, Paramount, CBS, Showtime, and more. With nearly twenty years in the television business, she’s covered the nation’s top breaking news stories for CBS News from presidential elections to terrorist attacks, natural disasters, school shootings, impeachment hearings, and the fight for racial justice. She’s produced interviews with the most consequential leaders, athletes, politicians, movie stars, musicians, CEOs, and change-makers of our time.
Her versatility in storytelling transcends through sports, news, live television, entertainment, and long-form magazine shows. From working on the most recognized news program in U.S. history (60 Minutes), to live producing on a national morning show (CBS Mornings), she’s covered stories from extreme sports to the fight for equal pay.
Recently, she was a lead producer for specials on CBS and NBC Sports, including directing a shoot with Tiger Woods. She’s produced interviews with four U.S. Presidents, the FBI Director, senators, secretaries of state, Oprah, Megan Rapinoe, and more. From live producing in the U.S. Capitol, to Helsinki for the 2018 Presidential summit, she’s worked alongside top talent, war correspondents, and anchors like Norah O’Donnell, Gayle King, Anderson Cooper, and Bob Simon.
Directing shoots is her first love. She can jump into live producing on a national show at a moment’s notice, having worked as an anchor producer and live producer for CBS Mornings. When she’s not on the road, she teaches students about the craft of storytelling as an adjunct journalism professor.

Supporting Female Directors
My goal is to change the narrative and promote women’s stories across sports, television, and news as a female Director, Showrunner, and Executive Producer.
Visibility, inclusivity, and diversity are important to me as a storyteller on screen and behind-the-scenes.
Recent Projects
It all starts with an idea.
In 2023, I was the Lead Producer, Showrunner, and Director (from concept to delivery) for a 30-minute national special on NBC featuring Tiger Woods.
The key to a great show are the characters.
In 2023, I profiled HBCU students who are breaking barriers in golf for a NBC network special.
I pitched and launched a network series for CBS Mornings called “Changing the Game” about extraordinary women in sports, business, and entertainment.
What started as a series for "Women’s History Month” expanded into an ongoing national segment on CBS.
