2x National Emmy-Winning Television Producer, Director, Showrunner, & Journalist

Erin Horan is a seasoned, two-time national Emmy-winning producer and director who has worked at the highest levels of network television for 60 Minutes, Paramount, CBS, Showtime, and more. She’s worked in sports, news, live television, branded content, and on long-form magazine shows and docuseries.

With twenty years in the television business, she’s covered the nation’s top breaking news stories for CBS News from presidential elections to terrorist attacks. She’s produced interviews with professional athletes, politicians, movie stars, musicians, and Fortune 500 CEOs.

From working on the most recognized news program in U.S. history (60 Minutes), to live producing on a national morning show (CBS Mornings), she’s covered stories from extreme sports to equal pay. Recently, she was a Showrunner for specials on CBS and NBC Sports, including directing shoots with Tiger Woods and overseeing a six episode docuseries for the PGA TOUR. She’s produced interviews with four U.S. Presidents, the FBI Director, senators, secretaries of state, Oprah, Megan Rapinoe, and more.

From live producing in the U.S. Capitol, to Helsinki for the 2018 Presidential summit, she’s worked alongside top talent, war correspondents, and anchors like Norah O’Donnell, Gayle King, Anderson Cooper, and Bob Simon.

Directing shoots is her first love. She can jump into live producing at a moment’s notice having worked as an anchor producer and live producer for CBS Mornings. When she’s not on the road, she teaches digital media production, journalism, and photography as a college professor.

It all starts with an idea.

In 2023, I was the Lead Producer, Showrunner, and Director (from concept to delivery) for a 30-minute national special on NBC featuring Tiger Woods.

The key to a great show are the characters.

In 2023, I profiled HBCU students who are breaking barriers in golf for a NBC network special.

I pitched and launched a network-wide series for CBS Mornings called “Changing the Game” about extraordinary women in sports, business, and entertainment.

What started as a series for "Women’s History Month” expanded into an ongoing national segment on CBS.
